COACHING BOYS TEAMS FOR WYLC

WYLC will complete the CORI and get you a US Lacrosse number with the information you provide.  All coaches are required to have an approved CORI and be active members of US Lacrosse to coach for WYLC. 

Boys Coaches Grades 1-8 need to register with MBYLL to obtain a US Lacrosee number. 

Do not make any payments on the MBYLL site—just complete registration

 

 


 

Required Boys Coaches Training and Registrations

 

ALL COACHES REGISTERING FOR 2020 FALL INTO ONE OF THE BELOW CATEGORIES. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE CATEGORY YOU FALL INTO.

 

RETURNING COACH WHO ATTENDED CERTIFICATIN CLINIC IN 2019 – Coach received a badge in 2019 with a 2020 sticker. That badge is NO LONGER valid. Coach’s certification will be valid for 2020 and they will receive a 2020 Coach Badge with Certification Sticker once they complete Registration and Compliance Requirements.

              1.) Coach MUST register on MBYLL.org

2.) Coach MUST log into their SafetyOne profile and complete the following

a. National Background Check (no cost to coach or town program)

b. Abuse Prevention Online Training Course (no cost to coach or town program). Course takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

3.) Once completed, Coach will be mailed a 2020 MBYLL Coach Badge WITH Certification Sticker

a. Badges will be mailed out on March 16, or once Section 2 is completed (whichever is later date)

 

RETURNING COACH WHO ATTENDED A CERTIFICATION CLINIC PRIOR TO 2019-Any badge they have from previous season are no longer valid and should be discarded. MBYLL will issue Coach Badges every season, and if the coach is Certified, they will have a Certification Sticker on the badge.

NEW COACH – A coach who never attended a MBYLL In-Person Certification Clinic

              1.) Coach MUST register on MBYLL.org

2.) Coach MUST log into their SafetyOne profile and complete the following

a. National Background Check (no cost to coach or town program)

b. Abuse Prevention Online Training Course (no cost to coach or town program). Course takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

c. “MBYLL Intro To Coaching” Online Course – Course takes approximately 1 hour to complete.

3.) If Coach answered that they WILL be attending a Certification Clinic, their 2020 Coach Badge with Certification Sticker will be given to them at the Clinic IF Section 2 above is complete at time of clinic.

4.) If Coach answered that they WILL NOT be attending a Certification Clinic, a 2020 MBYLL Coach Badge WITHOUT Certification Sticker Badges will be mailed out on March 16, or once Section 2 is completed (whichever is later date)

 

Coaching Certification Clinics -

 

Mon, March 9 - Canton HS in Canton - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Intro and Intermediate levels will be offered.

Mon, March 16 - Mt Ida Campus of UMass in Newton - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Intro and Intermediate levels will be offered.

Tues, March 17 - Mt Ida Campus of UMass in Newton - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Advanced level clinic. Advanced level will be symposium style with three 45 minute sessions. Each session will offer 3 subjects where the coach decides which to attend.

Thurs, March 19 - Malden Catholic HS in Malden - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Intermediate and Advanced Levels will be offered. Advanced level will be symposium style with three 45 minute sessions. Each session will offer 3 subjects where the coach decides which to attend.

Sun, March 22 - Gillette Stadium in Foxborough - 9:00am to 1:00pm: Intro, Intermediate and Advanced Levels will be offered.

Tues, March 24 - Marshall Middle School in Billerica  - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Advanced Level Clinic. Clinic will be run by Trilogy Lacrosse.

Thurs, March 26 - Florence Sawyer Middle School in Bolton - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Intro and Intermediate Levels will be offered.

Sun, March 29 - John Glenn Middle School in Bedford - 9:00am to 1:00pm: Intro and Intermediate levels will be offered.

Tues, March 31 - APEX Entertainment in Marlboro - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Advanced Level Clinic run by Trilogy Lacrosse.

Thurs, April 2 - North Reading HS in North Reading - 6:00pm to 10:00pm: Intermediate and Advanced Levels will be offered. Advanced Level will be run by Trilogy Lacrosse.

 

Clinic registration cost is $50 if you register at least 72 hours in advance. Within 72 hours of the clinic, the registration fee is $75.
